March 21, 2010 - And the winner is...

"More Nose Riding"

We judged the entries based on three elements: concept, execution and market readiness. Each element was given equal weight. We then added up the numbers. Thank you to all of the talented artists who entered our contest. We deeply appreciate your effort and interest.

On a side note we very much liked the design by Jena Kielpinsky and were impressed by her enthusiastic efforts to get us to take note of it.

MoreBeach t-shirt contest! Create a t-shirt design that...
uses "more beach" alone or in a phrase* with or without graphics.
Enter up to 4 designs.

Win up to $200 top prize plus designer royalties on selected items featured at MoreBeach.com and sold via Zazzle.com. Up to 12 designs will be selected and the top selection will also receive a cash bonus of $200. Entries will be accepted beginning October 1, 2009 until April 30, 2010. The first selection will be announced on February 17th. Each selection will be featured at MoreBeach.com with the winner's bio and link to his/her site. Top prize awarded May 15, 2010.

T-Shirt Contest Entries and Winners
This contest has proved far harder than we expected and the number of entries much lower. It's clear that people are putting in real effort and coming up with some good designs. But there simply are not enough entries to have monthly winners. More winners will be announced prior to the May 15th grand prize. One suggestion for future entries is to work more with the phrase "more beach..." That is the intent of the contest. Honoring "MoreBeach.com" is fine. Coming up with a phrase/concept that incorporates "more beach..." is the preferred.

Thought you should know that the page: http://www.morebeach.com/index...88#joomimg - the one that has the arrows which opens up info on the picture is confusing because there is nothing to describe what the link is except by selecting an arrow to see what shows up. So it is unclear that any one of the arrows will take you to the voting page without selecting each one to discover it! Can you add text next to the arrows indicating what the link is for that particular arrow?
