Seapoint Beach offers fine sand among rocks in a secluded area. There are no facilities here, no toilet, snackbar or lifeguard. Parking is limited and for residents only. Exposed to Atlantic swell form east to northeast this beach generally has minimal surf in the summer months and large waves during and after nor'easters in the winter. Flies can be annoying here during the summer. The beach abuts Rachel Carson Preserve and its miles of walking trails. Directions from Kittery: Rt 103 north to Seapoint Rd head right. It's a matter of timing.
In mid summer insects are a problem everywhere in New England. At the end of August the bugs go away and it's a very different experience.

Nice walking beach..... but the flies were absolutely horrendous. I have never seen so many or such persistent pests. You would kill one and 5 would take it place. We were finally driven off the beach.
