Description
This area is a sandy band of coastline between the mouths of
the Kennebec and Morse rivers. Together with next door Hunnewell Beach it offers three miles of beach with scenic
views of islands, lighthouses and the Atlantic. There are also natural
rock outcroppings with tidal pools for kids to explore and a historic
fort located nearby, all of which make it an ideal family destination.
Facilities include a bathhouse and picnic area. Lifeguards are on duty
here in-season. No concessions exist. There is an admission fee for vistors
age 12 and up. Parking consists of a 400-space municipal lot.
