Pilgrim Lake, Orleans MA
Description: Pilgrim Lake is a 39-acre natural kettlehole pond. It has an average depth of 12 feet and a max depth of 28 feet. Underwater visibility is good, extending about 12 feet. The lake bottom is mostly muck, sand and gravel. There is some aquatic vegetation present. Its shoreline is mostly undeveloped with just some residential homes.
Public access is available via a town right-of-way on the lake's north end. Facilties here include handicap accessible restrooms, park benches, picnic tables and a tourist information booth. This beach is also suitable for launching canoes and kayaks. Additionally, a long walkway stretches to the shoreline from the picnic area.

Directions: Take Monument Road from Route 28 in South Orleans. The access road is reached from a right off Monument, which runs between Pilgrim Lake and Kescayo Gansett Pond.
