Outlook as of Wednesday August 20th 7:45 am- Waist high waves today powered by 10+ mph NNW wind; sunny skies, low tide at 8:35 am; Nantucket buoy is showing (5:50 am) 5.6' from NNW at 7 secs. Wind and waves diminish this afternoon; knee high glass tomorrow. Long period SE swell starts arriving on Sunday. Should be solid waist high all next week.
Sunday August 17th 8 am - Mostly knee high with occasional waist high sets under sunny skies with wind blowing SW at 15 mph this afternoon; low tide is at 6:45 pm. Nantucket buoy is showing (6:50 am) 2.6' at 8 secs from SSE. Wind blows harder on Monday from SSW. Knee to waist high waves will continue for the coming week. If you're looking for something more substantial get over to England, Portugal, Spain or France. Across the pond they'll be seeing massive waves in the 20'+ range in a couple of days.
