Built in 1849, the Hawthorn House combines lovely accommodations with a superior location. Situated on Chestnut Street, in the center of Nantucket’s historic downtown area, the Hawthorn House is surrounded by many of the finest shops, museums and restaurants the island has to offer and is just blocks from the ferries. Since 1984 innkeepers, Diane and Mitchell Carl, have been committed to making the Hawthorn House a place that people will want to return to again and again.
