Race Point is Herring Cove's undeveloped oceanside sibling. This sandspit was formed by gradual southern longshore drift. Beachgoers can almost always observe fish, seals, whales and boats, all traveling through deep water close to shore. Because the sun shines directly overhead all day, Race point is a perfect tanning spot.
