Cape Cod Surf Outlook Week of August 3rd

Outlook as of August 8th 6:45 am - Thigh high and bumpy today with onshore SE wind at around 10 mph; low tide is at 11:40 am. Wind shifts to WSW tomorrow and conditions should clean up with knee high waves. The low pressure system that started to appear on the Navy chart for next week has disappeared. Maybe it's time to take up Stand Up Paddle surfing... or just paddling.

August 7th 6:45 am - Thigh high and bumpy with onshore E wind at around 10 mph today; low tide is at 11 am. Nantucket buoy is showing (5:50 am) 3' from E at 8 secs. Wind stays onshore with small waves tomorrow. Saturday looks like knee high and clean. There's a hint of something interesting coming this way in a week.

August 6th 7:00 am - Knee high and bumpy with onshore SE wind at 15 mph, rain and thunderstorms today. Things clean up tomorrow with thigh high waves, sunshine and wind shift to W then NW. Knee to thigh high on Friday through Sunday.

August 5th 7:15 am - Knee high and bumpy today with onshore NE wind. Nantucket buoy is showing (6:50 am) 2' at 8 secs from SSE. Today's low tide is at 9:10 am, wind is NE at 10+ mph gusting higher. Wind continues onshore tomorrow, shifting to SE at around 15 mph. Thursday looks possibly clean and knee high.

August 4th 7:15 am - Knee high today. Nantucket buoy is showing (5:50 am) 2.6' at 8 secs from SE. Today's low tide is at 8:15 am, wind is offshore WNW and W at under 10 mph. Looks like flat tomorrow. On Thursday there may be wind driven waves in the chest+ range.

August 3rd 11:30 am - Knee high today. Nantucket buoy is showing (10:50 am) 3.3' at 6 secs from SSW; wind is light offshore; some sun should peak through the clouds this afternoon; low tide is at 7:45 pm. Waves, if any, will be smaller tomorrow. Not much out there for the coming week.
