February 25th, 2009 - Kelly Slater is to surfing what Tiger Woods is to golf. He's won nine world championships and now, well into middle age, he continues to awe the world with his ability. Professional surfing requires a lot of travel to far away places and dealing with the hassle of bringing along bulky surfboards. Friday, February 20th, 7:30 am - Strong WSW wind at 25+ mph and higher gusts; waves diminishing from waist high; low tide is at 3pm; Nantucket buoy is showing 11.8' at 6.3 secs from W; sunny with high of 32F. Saturday through Monday look essentially flat.

Thursday, February 19th, 8:00 am - Head high with head+ sets today; messy this morning cleaning up as wind kicks in from SW at 10-15 mph this afternoon; low tide is at 1:50 pm; Nantucket Buoy is showing 10.5' at 7 secs from SE; cloudy with high of 44. The wind will blow hard from WSW on Friday at 25+ mph; waist-chest high waves may be hold up. Saturday, Sunday and Monday look essentially flat.

Wednesday, February 18th, 9:00am - Waist to chest high waves coming in this morning from ESE with light wind and sunshine; low tide is at 1pm this afternoon; Nantucket buoy is showing 6.2' at 11 secs from ESE; wind will build to approx 15 mph from SSE; later today and clouds will move in; high will be 36F. Storm comes in tonight with snow and rain. Thursday starts off with rain and strong SSE wind; by afternoon the wind shifts SW, the rain stops and the waves should be head high. Friday might have some leftovers in the waist+ range with snow flurries and wind from WSW at 20+ mph. Saturday looks flat. Sunday could be knee high and clean.

Monday, February 16th, 8:30 am - North wind at 10+ mph is creating a knee high swell today; Nantucket buoy is showing 2.6' at 6 secs; low tide is at 10:57 am; sunny with high of 34F. Knee to thigh high on Tuesday with wind from NNW at 10-15 mph. Wind comes from SSE at 12+ mph on Wednesday as storm comes in. South swell building from waist to possibly head high on Thursday and Friday.

Thursday, February 12th, 9:45 am - Flat today; low tide was at 7:30 am; wind is blowing from WSW at 25-30 mph; partly sunny; high of 47F; Nantucket buoy is showing 8.5' at 7 secs from SSW (193); it's a great day for kite boarding and wind surfing. Friday and Saturday will be flat with wind from NW at 25 mph and W at 20 mph respectively. Sunday shows possible knee-waist with light wind from NE. Monday could be knee high. Toward the end of next week we could have waves worth talking about.

Tuesday, February 10th 3:30 pm - It's been flat today; low tide is at 6:30 pm; wind is ESE at 5-10 mph. It looks like Wednesday will be knee high from SSW with low tide at 6:40 am; wind from SW at 10 mph; air temp reaching 47F. On Thursday we should be seeing a strong wind building to 25+ mph from SW with rain showers; possible waist high waves from SSW; air temp high of 44F. Clocking to WNW the wind continues to blow hard on Friday at 20+ mph; waves look like knee high. Possible waist high waves from NNW early Saturday morning will drop quickly to below knee high by noon; wind from NW at 15 mph.

Friday, February 6th, 7:30 am -Knee high today; low tide at 2:51 pm, wind WNW at 5-10 mph, partly sunny with high of 25F ; Nantucket buoy showing 3.9' at 7 secs. Flat on Saturday. Possible knee high on Sunday and Monday

Monday, February 2, 9:30 am - Knee to waist; light wind shifting from SSW to N; Nantucket buoy showing 5.9' at 10 secs from SSW; low tide at 10:40 am; sunny 41F. On Tuesday bumpy wind waves will build to chest+ from N with rain changing to snow and afternoon wind from N at 25 mph. Snow on Wednesday morning with head high waves and wind blowing from NW at 17 mph. Sunny and cold on Thursday with chest high waves, 12 mph wind from NW and air temp high of 19F. Friday looks like knee high with air of 30F and wind from WSW at 10 mph. Saturday and Sunday look flat at this time.
