Story in
Surfline about Kelly Slater competing in Rip Curl Pro with images of
Abu Ghraib on his board. Good for him I say. One could argue that shoving images of torture and abuse into the limelight an international surf event is a downer. I think it shows that Slater, and by extension all of us who surf, think about things other than waves. Personally I wouldn't choose to put a spotlight on America's dirtiest laundry outside of the US - I think we should having a robust discussion about it here among ourselves - but I think it's cool that he's putting himself out there.
