Description
Duxbury Beach (aka Blakeman's) is a long, narrow stretch of
shoreline running over five miles from Marshfield to Plymouth. Duxbury
is actually comprised of two distinct beach areas. For sunbathing, walking
and swimming, head to Outside Beach. This section offers rolling dunes
and small surf. Inside Beach features protected clam beds, a boat launch
and great birdwatching spots.
Lifeguards are on duty here daily in-season. Public restrooms, changing
rooms, concessions and telephones are all available at the bathhouse.
A town sticker is necessary for parking in designated private lots. Free
limited public parking is available across the Powder Point Bridge, but
arrive early as the lot usually fills up by 9AM.
