Sandy Point, Newport

Description
This sandy and shallow shoreline, located on the Sakonnet River, is ideal for a family day at the beach. Residential sticker or fee-based parking are both available. Facilities include changing rooms, public restrooms and a picnic area. Lifeguards are on duty here in-season. Parking fees vary from five to ten dollars depending on weekdays (weekends are more expensive). A fish pier also exists here. Pets are not allowed.
