Description
Point Judith Lighthouse is an octagonal brick building erected
in 1816. Still actively in use, this structure is not open to the public.
The grassy slope around it offers great ocean views. On a good swell day,
you may also see some of Rhode Island's best surfers in the water here.
Beware of the loud foghorn sounding out to the passing ships on foggy
days. Parking is availabe at a large municipal lot directly right in front
of the lighthouse.
