Description
Located on the south side of Fogland Point, this is a very popular
beach. It’s extremely windy, rivaling even Cape Cod. There is a
sheltered cove at the point’s north end. The beach itself is a mixture
of black stones and sand with a relatively shallow sandy bottom. Conditions
are typically windy with choppy surf. A nearby saltwater marsh with tidal
pools is ideal for kids to explore. This is also a popular kiteboarding
spot. Facilities include a picnic area, restrooms, showers, changing rooms
and a playground. Activities include swimming, fishing and walking. Parking
here requires a daily fee, as well.
