Description
Newport's only true public ocean beach, First Beach (aka Easton Beach) resides at the start of its famous Cliff Walk. Special Events like concerts and children's performers are scheduled throughout the summer. Facilities include public restrooms, showers, a playground, picnic area, concessions and a beach shop offering equipment rentals. Other amenities include an outdoor skateboard park, seasonal carousel, a nonprofit marine exhibit and function hall. Extensive handicap access is also provided via on-sand wheelchairs. No dogs are allowed. Parking here requires a daily fee with seasonal passes available.
