Beach now closed

This is a beautifull beach that we have been comming to for over twenty years. For the past few years the beach trail has been closed to trucks from the second campground to the breachway. The only way to get to the breachway is to walk from the second campground, about 1 - 1 1/2 miles. This year another wash out occured on the bach side trail between the first and second campground prompting the closure of a section of the trail. The trail is now re-directed to a short stretch of two way traffic. Acording to the RI State Park office, there are no plans to repair the road due to too many agencies being involved. You can still access the breachway by driving on the beach from 9/15 to 4/15.
