Description
A flat sandy shoreline along Route 1A in Rye, Jenness is considered a family beach. Facilities here include a bathhouse, and lifeguards are on duty in-season. During high summer, this area gets very busy with cars lining the street. The beach itself is 1,780 feet long and is utilized by residents and vacationers for sunbathing, swimming and picnicking. There are two access points to the beachfront from a small parking lot located off Route 1A. Public restrooms are also available.

Directions
Take I-95 exit 5 to 1 South Bypass to Route 1 south to 1A South. Jenness State Beach will be on your left.
