Description
Foss Beach is a long, rocky beach located just north of Rye Harbor
State Park on Route 1A. Lifeguards are not on duty here in-season. Facilities
are also thin, with no public restrooms or concessions available. There
are some restaurants directly across Route 1A. The beach itself is a sandy,
rocky area when the tide is up with a fine sand portion exposed at low
tide. Its total length is 3,750 feet. Seven access points exist to the
beach area from street parking along Route 1A. There is a public picnic
area at this beach.
