Description
Pemaquid offers a crescent-shaped sandy beach and great views
of John's Bay. The beach itself is located along a scenic cove on a peninsula.
There is a daily admission fee here. Facilities include concessions and
showers. Water depth is about 20 feet, with a mostly sand bottom. A retail
shop is also located nearby that provides beach supplies. They even rent
lawn chairs and children’s toys. No lifeguards are on duty here
in-season.

Directions
From the south:
Take Rte. 1 to the Damariscotta exit. Go through town and then turn right
on Rte. 130 for 13 miles to New Harbor. Then turn right on Snowball Hill
Rd., traveling one mile - the beach will be on your left.
From the north:
Take Rte. 1 to Waldoboro. Turn left on Rte. 32 and go 18 miles. Turn left
on Route 130 and travel 1/10 of a mile. Then turn right on Snowball Hill
Rd., traveling one mile - the beach will be on your left.
