Ogunquit
Beach, Maine
 Ogunquit Beach N 43.25 W -70.594 Click for Map
Description
Ogunquit is very popular with families. This area offers soft
white sand, inviting surf and is considered one of the best 3.5 miles
of peninsula coastline in the country. The northern end is called Footbridge
Beach because beachgoers traverse a small bridge to reach it.. The southern
end is named Ogunquit Beach.
It’s easily accessible to pedestrians via a trolley which runs
through town every 15 - 20 minutes. Much of Ogunquit remains undeveloped,
separated from the mainland by a river. This creates a natural barrier
beach with protected inner sandbar - the perfect safe zone for younger
kids.
Facilities here include public restrooms and concessions. Lifeguards are
also on duty in-season. Parking at the beach lot here requires a daily
fee.
