Drakes Island Beach WellsClick for Map to Drakes Island Beach![]() Drakes Island Beach 43.3243-70.5514 Click for Map Drakes Island Beach runs northeast from the stone jetty entrance to Wells harbor to join with Laudholm Farm Beach and Webhannet Marsh. Together the two beaches span 940 yards with fine white sand, dunes and grass. The combined length of Drake's Island Beach and Laudholm Beach is 940 yards. These beaches are exposed to Atlantic swell coming in from the southeast to east. There can sometimes be large surf at these beaches good for wave sports such as surfing, bodyboarding, skimboarding and surf kayaking. Restrooms are available in the parking area. A parking fee is charged in season. There are no lifeguards or snack bar. The jetty is a popular spot for fishing.
