Description: This area resides in the Fire Island National Seashore. Shoreline comprises 5 miles of barrier beach on Great South Bay. Lifeguards are on duty here in-season. ORVs can drive on the outer beach with a permit. Visitors are not allowed in endangered shorebirds nesting zones. Facilities include beach campsites, concessions, playground and picnic area.
