Squibnocket , Martha's Vineyard
Description: Squibnocket faces the Atlantic Ocean. In
ideal conditions, it tends to be smaller and weaker than many other south
facing beaches on the Vineyard.
Often, during a SW wind swell, it will be totally flat when spots further
east may be waist high or better. The shoreline here is fairly rocky,
which doesn't lend itself to sunbathing or swimming very well.
A Town of Chilmark residential permit is required here for beach access
during the summer season. No public parking is available.
