Description:
Nauset Light is a wide Outer Cape beach buffeted by a high dune bluff.
Wooden stairs connect the beach and its generously sized parking lot.
This is an ideal destination for beachgoers of all ages because it offers
great swimming and surfing.
The actual Nauset Lighthouse originally resided above the bluff, but was
moved 300 feet inland in 1996 due to advancing erosion. It is now located
across from the visitors lot entrance.
This area is part of the National Seashore and features an observation
area for photo ops and sightseeing. Lifeguards are on duty in-season.
Facilities include restrooms, outdoor showers and a bath house for privacy.
Parking here requires a daily fee during the summer.
