Joseph Sylvia, Martha's Vineyard

Description: Joseph Sylvia, also known as Edgartown-Oak Bluffs State Beach, runs two miles along the shoreline of both towns. The area is also famous from the movie Jaws, as some of the beach scenes were shot here.

Framed by scenic views of Nantucket Sound and Chappaquiddick, this is a great spot for swimming and fishing. The water is calm and shallow, making it ideal for small children.Lifeguards are on duty in-season. Concessions are nearby, but no restrooms exist here.
