Description: This historic beach bore witness to the
first encounter between Native Americans and Pilgrims before their landing
at Plymouth Rock. It features warm placid waters and a scenic Cape Cod
Bay view.
Facilities here include restrooms and lifeguard coverage in-season. Even
though no concessions exist, an ice cream truck regularly visits during
the summer. Parking in the large Eastham town lot incurs a seasonal daily
fee. Down the road, lies an extension of First Encounter Beach called
Hatch Beach. There is ample parking alongside the beach itself.
