Edgartown State Beach , Martha's Vineyard

Description: This beach (also called Bend in the Road) is a popular beach for families because of its gradual slope into deeper water and small waves. On a typical summer day, the paved parking lane next to the street is almost full by 10:30AM. The Sengekontacket Pond side shoreline is also popular for walking and shellfishing (where permitted).

Directions: Located on Edgartown-Oak Bluffs Road, this beach is just east of Joseph Sylvia State Beach.
