Description
Pebble Beach is a relatively rocky area. This beachs shoreline is covered in pebbles and small stones, but they arent rough or jagged. Instead, they are smooth and rounded as a result of constant tidal motion. A surf break is located to the right when facing the ocean. To pinpoint it, look for breaking waves at high tide or the exposed reef at low tide. Parking here is free and open to the public.


 

 

Directions
At the end of SR 128 in Cape Ann, turn Left on SR 127A (Cross Street). In one half mile, turn left (following SR 127A) onto Thatcher Road. After 2.8 miles, turn right onto South Street, and travel almost to the end (.4 miles), turning left on Penzance for another 0.25 miles.

Description
Sandy Point is located at the southern tip of Plum Island. This shoreline is among the state's most beautiful and popular beaches. Recreational activities include walking, beachcombing, fishing and birdwatching. Access is through the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge. Two dedicated parking lots hold a total of 50 vehicles. When these lots are full, the reservation is temporarily closed. Pedestrians have open access to the beach, but must stay clear of any fenced-in areas. To provide maximum protection for Piping Plovers, the federal government may close the entire beach at Parker River Refuge.


 

 

Directions
Take Route 95 to Exit 57 then travel east on Rte. 113. Continue straight on Rte. 1A South to Rolfe's Lane. Turn left on Rolfe's and go 1/2 mile to the Plum Island Turnpike. Turn right here and cross over onto Plum Island. Take your first right on Sunset Drive and look for the Parker River Wildlife Refuge. Sandy Point State Reservation is located about 6 miles in from the Refuge entrance.

Description
Lynn Beach has unusually soft sand. Facilities here include restrooms, a bathhouse and concessions. Great views are available from over four miles of combined public beachfront. A promenade extends along the two-mile length of both Nahant and Lynn Shore reservations and is available year-round for pedestrian activities like bicycling, jogging and walking. Street parking is available for visitors to King's Beach along Lynn Shore Drive. No public restrooms exist at Lynn Shore Reservation. There are also no lifeguards on duty at King's Beach in-season. Parking here incurs a daily fee during the summer.


 

 

Directions
Public Transit: Start from the Haymarket Station T-stop & travel to Central Square in Lynn. From Central Square take bus #439 to the rotary near the bathhouse.
By Car: Take the Lynnway (Rt. 1A) to Carroll Parkway and the Nahant Rotary. Then take Lynn Shore Drive to King's Beach at Lynn Shore Reservation.

Description
Singing Beach is one of the North Shore's most popular beaches. Its perfect combination of sand, water, scene and seclusion make this area a diamond in the rough. This is a very peaceful place and is great for walking, shell collecting, swimming or just lounging. Parking at the beach is for residents only. A small public parking lot resides 1.5 miles from the beach, charging a daily fee. It fills up quickly. Facilities here consist of restrooms and concessions. Lifeguards are also on duty in-season.


 

 

Directions
Take Route 128 North to Exit 15. Turn right off the ramp on School St. and follow it to the end. Then turn left onto Route 127. Stay straight thru the post office on Beach St. Continue over the railroad tracks to its end.

Description:Sparking blue water and clean white sand are backed by rocky cliffs. Good Harbor has the look of a beach in the Caribbean. This is an ocean beach good for wave sports when the swell direction is from the northeast. The beach is accessed by a footbridge. Parking is limited.
