Another Cape Cod Wind Farm

June 12, 2009 - Yesterday the Massachusetts National Guard announced a proposal to build a wind farm on the Massachusetts Military Reservation. The wind farm would have 17 windmills producing up to 34 megawatts of electricity - that would make it the largest source of wind energy in the state. Here's the story from Boston.com

"I told you Lucy, you let one cockaroacha in da' door, de all come in!' The military reservations on the Cape have extraordinary amounts of diesal fuels, solvents, contamainating soils; since there is no monies for Superfund clean-ups, what better way to 'get rid' of the carcinogenically/mutagenic hydrocarbon aromatics then waft them away to another community! Unreal, Cappers, wake up!

The base is a great place for a windfarm, not the sound. Still I think solor is the way to go.

This is fantastic! Let's hope they don't start thinking about our sacred parks for additional land though. I would suggest they stick to the BRAC military installations, since we closed so many!!!!
