Description
Wingaersheek is a small, scenic beach at the mouth of the Annisquam River. This 1.5 mile area is a very safe environment for younger children. The beach itself is located on a protected inlet, which is both calm and shallow. The topography is sandy and flat. Families make up the vast majority of the visitor base here. The surrounding area is scenic, offering great views of the Annisquam Lighthouse. The small parking lot fills up quickly. Plan on arriving in-season before 9:30AM, or you may not get a space. Lifeguards are also on duty here in-season. Concessions are also available.
