Sandy Beach Portsmouth

Click here for Google Map Just 10 minutes from Portsmouth is this beautiful crescent shaped beach with views of New Castle lighthouse and boats going in and out of Portsmouth Harbor. The beach is somewhat rocky. There's no parking at the beach itself but parking (fee) is available at New Castle Commons. This beach is a popular biking destination offering. No lifeguards, bathrooms, snackbar or any other facilities are available. DIRECTIONS: Rt 1B from through village, left to Coast Guard station, right just before the station entrance.
